These guidelines are the fruit of a 15 years multidisciplinary collaboration between paediatricians, nurses, psychologists and socialworker working in the Kangaroo Foundation  and in the Kangaroo Mother Care programs of the Clinica del Niño and of the San Ignacio Universitary Hospital in Bogota, Colombia
